Currently In Care

The following pooches are currently in Moving Paws care and not yet ready for adoption.  However you can register your interest by completing our online application form

Please Note:  Once your application is submitted, you will only be contacted by a Moving Paws team member if you are short listed for the dog you have applied for.  We do not have the resources to respond to every application or email unfortunately.

Pierre is approximately 5 years old, Maltese X. He came into MP care via RSPCASA, he was found as a matted stray.  He is learning to be a well mannered doggy in foster care as he is still timed and scared.  Once we know more about him and his confidence builds he will be ready for adoption.

His adoption fee will be: $200

Annabelle is a sweet 4 year old miniature border collie.  Unfortunately our dear girl is deaf and suffering some anxiety issues.  She was living with small children which didn’t understand her needs and the whole situation was not right for her.  Our wonderful friends at Canine Connect at Golden Grove took Annabelle in for extensive training to assist with both her anxiety and her hearing loss.  She will remain in their ownership for a 12 month period to give her the best opportunities in life. When the time is right Canine Connect will be seeking her furever home with the assistance of Moving Paws.

Adoption Process

Moving Paws Inc requires an application form to be completed if you are interested in adopting a doggy. The application is then passed onto the doggies foster family for consideration. We request if you are interested in a dog a form must be completed.

Please complete via our online form here:

If you are short listed for the particular doggy you applied for, you will be contacted by a team member/foster carer of Moving Paws Inc to arrange a meet a greet within one week of receiving the application.

If the first meet and greet is successful and both parties wish to proceed a home visit is then conducted. We allow both parties an additional 24 hours to make sure they are fully committed to adopting another family member.

We unfortunately as volunteers do not have time to contact every application, but as above we will contact those that are shortlisted.

Moving Paws wants the experience of adopting a new family member to be a good one and we will occasionally suggest a different doggy as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual dog you have applied for.

There is a 4 week return policy, during this period our team will be in touch several times to make sure the transition period is going well and answer any questions you may have.

Moving Paws Inc only adopts to Adelaide metropolitan, hills area and fleurieu areas.
